Dustin James Brown (born November 4, 1984) is an American professional ice hockey left winger and is the captain of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). The thirteenth overall pick of the 2003 NHL Draft, he has spent his entire eight-year NHL career with the Kings. Brown led the Kings to the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals, where he became the first Kings captain and second American captain to win the Stanley Cup, with a six-game victory over the New Jersey Devils.
He is noted for his physical playing style, consistently ranking among the league leaders in hits and penalties drawn, and his reserved, lead-by-example approach to his captaincy. Internationally, Brown has represented the United States at three World Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2004, and two World Junior Championships.
